According to the Advice of Dalian Municipal People’s Government on Accelerating the Development of Low-income Rural Areas, on February 5, Mr. Li Hongtao, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dalian Municipal Bureau of Science & Technology, organized responsible people from Dalian Aolong Aquatic Technology Promotion Co., Ltd, Dalian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and other units, bringing the pension, grain and edible oil to Wangtun Village, Paoya Township, Wafangdian City, the designated poverty alleviation village of the bureau, where they paid visit to the poverty-stricken people and sent the care of the Party and the government.
Wangtun village is located in the southwest Wafangdian, which is a traditional agricultural village with barren land, insufficient resources and no industrial foundation. Its per capita income is far below the average level of the township. Given this condition, during the poverty elimination work, Dalian Municipal Bureau of Science & Technology has made use of the technological means to raise the blood making functions of the village. In the township government office, Mr. Li called on a symposium with local cadres and solicited suggestions and opinions from them on further putting the spirits of the municipal government documents into place, carrying out poverty alleviation programs through science & technology, and facilitating the rural areas to get rich. With the patented products, the General Manager of Dalian Aolong Aquatic Technology Promotion Co., Ltd intended to set up a science & technology enterprise which can offer 300 employment opportunities, in an attempt to share the interests jointly and help the farmers raise incomes in the form of shareholding. Dalian Academy of Agricultural Sciences proposed the idea of embarking on a road of high-efficiency and high-yield agricultural development, during which the greenhouse planting technologies are to be extended in Wangtun village and the agricultural development mode of continuous sweet potato planting is to be conducted. They also pledged to offer technologies, consultations and training programs free of charge. These activities were warmly welcomed by local cadres, and initial agreements were concluded.
On behalf of the bureau, Mr. Li said the bureau will actively coordinate the services, promote the village-enterprise cooperation, encourage high efficient farming and showcase the advantages of science & technology, so as to achieve win-win effects.
